Barbecue Beef Recipes
Rosemary is a great herb, fresh or dried to grill with. If you like it as much as I do you can grow it easily either in the garden or in a pot on your apartment deck. Then you will always have a fresh sprig available for your barbecue beef recipes.
Prep time 30 minutes the night before, 20 minutes the day of barbecue Total time 50 minutes.
Ingredients: For Barbecue Beef Skirt Stake : 1 1/2 lbs. skirt steak, 1/2 cup virgin olive oil, 3 Tbsp. balsamic vinegar, 1 Tbsp. Dijon style mustard, 1 tsp. prepared fresh minced garlic, 1/2 tsp. cracked pepper, 2 Tbsp. dried rosemary.
Ingredients for the Bulgur Salad: 2 cups bulgur, 2 1/2 cups boiling water, 3/4 cup balsamic vinegar, 1 tsp. dried grated orange rind, 1 1/4 cups orange juice, 3 Tbsp. virgin olive oil, 1 tsp. crushed dried red peppers, 1 tsp. kosher salt.
Ingredients for Cantaloupe: 1 fresh cantaloupe !
The night before or in the morning, In a medium bowl combine bulgar and boiling water. Let stand for 30 minutes. Meanwhile prepare the skirt stakes and their marinade. Cut the meat crosswise into about 2" wide strips. In a small bowl, mix oil, vinegar, mustard, garlic, pepper and salt. Put it in a large plastic zipper type bag along with the skirt stake and refrigerate. To finish the bulgur salad, mix the vinegar, orange juice, oil, and salt. Add it to the bulgur, cover and refrigerate until use at least 30 minutes will keep for over five days refrigerated.
All you need to do when ready to eat is preheat the grill to high. Using 10 inch metal or wood skewers which have been soaked in water for at least 30 minutes, thread the steak loosely onto the skewers. reserve the marinade. Cut the cantaloupe into wedges, discard the seeds,serve as is with a lime wedge, refrigerate until dinner.When the grill is ready put the skirt steaks over the gas and turn often brushing with marinade. It will take about 6 minutes for rare, 8 for medium rare, 10 for medium.
This barbecue beef steak recipe can be used with your favorite cut of meat such as Porterhouse, Flat Iron or New Yorks.
Time prepping 15 minutes, Cooking time 10 -14 minutes, Total time 30 minutes
Steaks 8 minutes for rare, 10 minutes medium rare, 14 minutes medium.
Soused Barbecue Beef Ingredients : 4 of your favorite steaks 11/2 " thick, 3Tbsps. olive oil, 1/3 cup tequila, 2Tbsps. lime juice, 1 tsp. minced garlic, 1Tbsp. cracked pepper, 2 tsp. grated lemon peel, 1 tsp. kosher salt. Marinate 1 hour or overnight.
Preheat grill to high.
Feta & Veggie Salad Ingredients: In a medium bowl combine 7 oz.crumbled feta cheese, 1/2 Large red onion, 3Tbsps. olive oil, 2Tbsps. lemon juice, 2Tbsps. minced fresh parsley, Refrigerate.
Corn on the Cob: 4 ears of corn, remove husks, butter the ears, salt & pepper to taste, enclose in foil.
When the grill is hot put your steaks and corn on direct heat. Turn your corn every few minutes cook for approximately 10 minutes, and turn the steaks once during grilling until cooked to your preference.

Ingredients for Barbecue Beef: 1 1/2 Lbs. Flank Steak
Ingredients for French Dressing: Combine 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar, 1 tsp. kosher salt, 1/2 tsp. cracked pepper, 1 Tbsp.ketchup, 1 tsp. hot sauce, 1 tsp. basil, 1 1/2 cups virgin olive oil. Marinate the flank steak over night in covered shallow glass Pyrex style dish.
Ingredients for Corn Relish: 1/2 cup sugar, 1/4 tsp. Kosher salt, 1/2 cup rice vinegar,1/4 tsp. ground mustard, 1/4 tsp. celery salt, 1 tsp. hot sauce, 1 can whole kernel corn, 2 Tbsps. green onion, 1 chopped green pepper. Heat sugar, salt, vinegar and hot sauce to boiling boil for 2 minutes, stir in corn with it's liquid and remaining ingredients. Cool, cover and refrigerate overnight.
Ingredients for Tater Tots: Tater Tots!
Preheat grill to hot. On a baking sheet or heavy duty foil put enough tater tots for 4 servings, sprinkle with garlic salt and paprika. Put on grill over indirect heat.
When Tater tots have been on grill for 8 minutes. Drain the flank steak and put it on the grill, turning it once in the 8-10 minutes for rare 10-12 minutes for medium rare and 14 minutes for medium.
Barbecue Beef Jack Burgers, Sour Creme Potato Salad and Papaya Salad Salsa (serves 4)
Time preparing Potato Salad 15 minutes earlier in the day, 20 minutes preparing the Papaya Salad Salsa and Hamburger patties, Time on Grill 11-12 minutes, Total Time 50 minutes.
Ingredients for Barbecue Beef Burgers: 1 1/2 pounds ground beef, 1 tsp. garlic salt, 1/2 tsp. course ground black pepper, 4 slices Vidalia or red onion, 4 slices of pepper jack cheese, 4 hamburger buns, mayonnaise, mustard etc... note if using lean ground beef add 1 Tbsp. olive oil to the hamburger mix.
Ingredients for Potato Salad: 1 pound new potatoes, scrub and quarter bring to a boil, simmer for 8 minutes. Meanwhile in large bowl combine 1 tsp. kosher salt, 1/2 tsp. cracked pepper, add 1/4 cup sour creme, 1/4 cup prepared Italian dressing, 1/3 cup chopped green onions, When potatoes are cooked drain and mix with other ingredients,cool to room temperature, cover tightly and refrigerate for at least 4, up to 10 hours.
Ingredients for Papaya Salad Salsa: Combine in a medium large bowl, 1 1/2 pound cantaloupe, peeled seeded and diced; 1 pound papaya, peeled , seeded and diced; 1 large cucumber, peeled and diced; 1/3 cup minced fresh mint; 3 Tbsps. lime juice; 1 Tbsp. honey; 1/2 tsp. Kosher salt.
Before leaving for work or four hours before dinner prepare the Potato Salad
Before dinner Preheat grill to medium high heat.
Make papaya salad salsa, cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.Combine ground beef with the next three ingredients, put on the grill cooking 7 minutes turn over, grill for 4 minutes put on the cheese. When cheese is melted take off the grill and serve.
Ingredients for Barbecue Beef Kebabs: 1 1/2 pounds ground beef chuck, 1 beaten egg, 1 tsp. Kosher salt 1/2 tsp. course ground black pepper, 2 Tomatoes cut into quarters, 1 green bell pepper cut into 2" cubes, 2 red onions quartered, 1/2 can pineapple chunks, drained.
Ingredients for baste: 1/4 cup soy sauce, 1 Tbsp. pineapple juice, 1 tsp. prepared fresh ginger, 1 tsp. sugar, 1/2 tsp. kosher salt.
Ingredients for Green salad: 1 bag of store bought prepared romaine in bag, 1/4 cup chopped green onions, 1/ 2 cup crumbled feta cheese. Suggested Dressing: 1/4 cup brown sugar,1 tsp. kosher salt, 1 tsp. crushed red pepper, 1 tsp. prepared minced garlic,1/2 cup balsamic vinegar, 3/4 cups ketchup, 1/4 cup virgin olive oil, 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce, 1/4 tsp. hot sauce. Shake in a jar for 1 minute. refrigerate until ready to use. Or purchase a dressing you like.
Prepare Kebabs, Mix the chuck with the beaten egg, salt and pepper. Make 24 small round meatballs, thread 4 16" skewers alternately with meatballs, tomatoes bell pepper, pineapple and onions.
Preheat the grill to medium
Clean 4 ears of corn on the cob, butter and sprinkle with kosher salt, cracked pepper and paprika on the ears. Cover in heavy duty aluminum foil. Put the corn on first then the kebabs and cook for about 10 minutes turning the kebabs every few minutes.
