Backyard Barbecue Party Beverage Recipes
These backyard barbecue beverage recipes will cool your party off on a hot day and warm your party up on a cool day.
Hot Spiced punch (40 servings)
Ingredients: 2 cups Tang or dry orange drink mix, 1/2 cup instant iced tea mix, 1 1/3 cup granulated sugar, 1/3 cup dry lemonade mix, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves. 1 teaspoon dry lemon peel. For one serving, mix 2 tablespoons drink mixture with 1 cup boiling water.
Ingredients, 2 bottles chilled white wine, 1 cup orange flavored liqueur, 1/2 cup brandy, 24 ounces chilled lemon lime soda, 2 lemons sliced, 4 limes sliced.
Combine all ingredients in punch bowl or large pitcher and serve in tall glasses filled with ice.
South Western Lemonade (serves 12)
Ingredients: 2 ¼ cups sugar, 4 cups coarsely chopped mint, 12 to 24 small dried hot red chilies (to taste), 3 cups freshly squeezed lemon juice, 6 cups water, fresh mint sprigs for garnish.
In a large soup kettle boil the water with the sugar, chopped mint, and chilies uncovered until reduced to 3 cups. Let cool; pour mixture through a strainer into a 1 gallon container, pressing to extract all liquid. Discard the mint; rinse chilies and add to the container along with the lemon juice and 3 quarts water.
Cover and chill the lemonade until cold, at least two hours or up until 1 week. Serve in a pitcher or punch bowl. Pour into ice filled tall glasses and garnish with mint sprigs. 12 servings.

Margaritas (serves 4)
Ingredients: 6 ounces lime juice, 6 ounces tequila, 6 ounces orange-flavor liquor, 3 cups coarsely chopped ice, 1limes cut into wedges for garnish, kosher salt.
Prepare 4 glasses by rubbing the rims with lime juice. Invert glasses into a shallow dish of kosher salt. Shake off any excess salt. Whirl all ingredients except lime wedges in a blender until slushy and pour into prepared glasses.
Hot Spiced Tea (serves 12)
Ingredients: 12 cups water, 1 an1/2 cups sugar, 4
cinnamon sticks, 16 whole cloves, 10 tea bags, 3 cups orange juice,
2/3 cup lemon juice.
Bring first 4 ingredients to boil in a heavy soup pan, stirring until sugar
dissolves, Simmer for 6 minutes. Remove from the
stove. Add the tea. Cover and let steep for 10 minutes. Add the juices to the
tea. (Prepare up to 24 hours before serving)
Cover and refrigerate, reheat before serving.
Mexican Coffee (1 serving)
Ingredients: 1 ounce coffee liqueur, ½ ounce brandy, 1 teaspoon chocolate syrup, hot coffee, whipped cream.
In a coffee mug put the first three ingredients, fill
with coffee and top with whipping cream.
Lemonade with Cola (serves 12)
Ingredients: 1 ¼ cups freshly squeezed lemon juice (5-7 lemons), 1 ½ cups sugar, 5 cups water, 4-12 ounce cans cola.
Combine lemon juice, sugar and water, cover tightly, let stand 8 hours. Chill in refrigerator. Add cola and pour into ice filled tall glasses.
Hawaiian Tea (serves 8)
Ingredients: 2 quarts cold water, 15 orange pekoe tea
bags, fresh mint sprigs, 1/3 cup sugar,
juice of three lemons, 1/2 cup pineapple juice.
In a sauce pan bring one quart of water to a boil. Remove from heat
and pour over the tea bags. Stir and let stand 5 minutes.
Stir and pour into pitcher containing 4 mint sprigs, sugar and 1 quart cold
water.Stir to dissolve sugar.
Let it cool. Remove mint before chilling at least three hours to overnigjht.
Before serving stir in the juices
and pour into tall glasses filled with ice.
Cranberry Apricot cooler (serves 12)
Ingredients: 3 cups cranberry juice, 2 cups apricot
juice, 1 1/2 cups orange juice, 1 quart cold club soda, 1 bag crushed ice, tall
teaspoons or straws with a scoop.
Up to six hours before the party combine all the ingredients except for the
club soda in a gallon container. Just before serving add the club soda to your
container fill tall glasses with the crushed ice and fill with the cranberry
juice mixture.
Ingredients: 1/3 cup sugar, 3/4 cup water, 1 teaspoon grated orange rind, cups frehly made coffee, 1 cup cold pineapple juice, 1/2 cup of cream.
While the coffee is brewing combine the sugar, water and grated orange rind in small sauce pan and simmer for 10 minutes. Combine the coffee and sugar mixture together cover tightly untill ready to serve. Then combine the pineapple juice and cream with the coffee ixture and pour into four tall glasses filled with ice,
